Who we are
Henry Chan
Director, Boxmoor Consulting Group Limited
Henry has worked in the domain name industry since 2008, principally in the registry business, and also at an enterprise service provider managing corporate domain portfolios.
He began at HKIRC, the country-code registry for .hk, where he also served as Secretariat Director of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association and sat on working groups of ICANN’s Country Code Names Supporting Organisation. He then moved to CSC, managing enterprise domain name and intellectual property portfolios across Asia Pacific, the United Kingdom and Europe, working with the in-house legal and security teams of large brand owners. At Nominet, the registry for .uk, he was Product Manager for top-level domain registry systems and new generic top-level domain products.
He is currently a member of the GNSO Standing Predictability Implementation Review Team at ICANN, and a mentor under ICANN’s Applicant Support Programme, which helps applicants from underserved regions apply for top-level domains.
Alongside BCGL, Henry is Director of Product at the Trusted Notifier Network, a neutral not-for-profit working on the mitigation of online harm. That is a separate role. BCGL’s commercial work is independent of it, and BCGL does not act for the Trusted Notifier Network.
He holds a BA and an MPhil from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is based in Hertfordshire, England. He is a school governor at Hemel Hempstead School, where he is Vice-Chair of the Local Governing Body.
